Browsers For the past weeks I have tried several browsers among them the most popular ones like IE7, Firefox, Opera and Google’s New Chrome. I own about 20 websites, so I visit them on a daily basis for updates. In order to save time I’ve being using Internet explorer, Firefox, Opera and Google’s New Chrome. I open several of my sites using the above mentioned browsers. Speed Comparison - My personal observations Google Chrome is easily the fastest browser. Loads up brilliantly and quickly. IE7 is performing well. FireFox is runner-up in the fast race. Loads in a decent amount of time, performs slower than chrome once loaded. Internet Explorer 8 Beta and Opera are easily the slowest The speed comparison is purely my observation. I do not use any speed test software. I’m just talking about surfing. All my websites are designed to be compatible with all browsers. Unfortunately all of my sites when opened in IE7 for example appear alright, but when opened in Opera and Safari for example.. They look terrible! Which is annoying! When I check my Google stats for all my websites, IE7 is the most used browser and this by far. Maybe I should just dump all the other browsers. I found a website which contains excellent info about Browser Compatibility. ( http://www.netmechanic.com/products/Browser-Tutorial.shtml ) I will start reading it. Again this is only my personal observation.
